The Balmoral: Classic Suite
The Balmoral Hotel was once the North British Station hotel given its location next to Waverly Train Station. Its said that a secret passage used to connect guests from the hotel to the train station so they wouldn't have to interact with the masses! It first opened in 1902 and reopened as the Balmoral in 1991. It is now owned by Rocco Forte Hotels.
Atop the tallest tower stand the hotels clock which was famously set to run 3 minutes fast to give passengers more time to catch their trains.
My favorite things about this hotel was house keeping leaving me branded cord organizers, soaring ceilings, the spa facilities, and the free reformer Pilates classes.
The Gleneagles Townhouse
I wish I could have stayed here longer Check out my reel on the property or my room tour to see why.
The city escape of the countryside Gleneagles Hotel. Located on St. Andrews Square in a former bank of Scotland building the part hotel part members club opened in 2022. As a guest of one of their 33 rooms you become an "almost member" of the club with access to a lot of the club spaces like the gym otherwise called the strong rooms and the roof top bar.
Probably one of the coziest robes I've had at a hotel so far.
